Baby and the Calendar

The other day I hung a new calendar in the living room.   It was a Labrador calendar.  I was sorting some boxes when Dan nudged my arm and pointed to Baby and the calendar.

She had put her front feet on the wood chair to get a better look.  Just like a kid she tried to look behind it to find the other dog.  It was so funny to watch.  Of course my regular camera was across the room.  So I took out my cell phone and caught this shot.

The next day Dan saw her jump on the couch to get a different view of the calendar.  I'm going to have my real camera ready when I change the calendar to the new month.

She is such an amazing dog.  We have laughed often at her antics.

  1. I never knew dogs would consider 2 dimensional objects as real.....

  2. It surprised us. Out of our four dogs she is the only one who will occasionally watch TV.

  3. Terrific photo-Looks as if she 'knows' that dog. I hope you do post more. We had a dalmatian a long while ago who sat with us & sometimes barked at things on TV. Interesting.

  4. Our dog Lady is a chocolate lab. I am anxious to see what Baby does when we turn the new page.

She is truly one of my ADD dogs. She can get distracted and forget to eat her dog food. Sometimes she will hang over the bed only to fall off of it. She was more clutsy when she was younger.

  7. Too funny! Our cat does stuff like this with the tv but nothing from our dog!

  8. My Golden Retriever has watched tv before, but only if it's animals. The sounds of dogs really gets her attention. The cat...only mildly interested or offended by tv animals.
The picture is priceless! My daughter and I have talked about having a camera embedded in our foreheads so we can always be recording life. Then you don't miss the shot. Just delete the parts that weren't interesting at the end of the day.
